The Kansas African American Affairs Commission Congressional District will host a Community Resource Fair and Community Town Hall this month! This event will provide access to resources and a community listening space to elevate the voices, priorities, and ideas for solutions communicated by Black Kansans from across the state and within all counties of Congressional District 4 (which includes residents residing in the following counties in the Wichita metro area: Butler, Chautauqua, Cherokee, Cowley, Elk, Harvey, Kingman, Montgomery, Sedgwick, Sumner)! The event will take place at the Carl G. Brewer Community. Center, 1329 E. 16th St. N., Wichita 67214

Join interested voters and potential voters on Sunday, June 14, from 11:30-1 to facilitate a discussion of voter registration processes and the upcoming August primary election at the United Church of Christ, 5200 E 31st St. S, Wichita 67210. Refreshments will be provided.

Sunday, June 14 (flag day) from noon - 3:00pm. Free hotdogs, chips & sodas + a small flag for the kids. Shade, chairs and water will be provided for volunteers. In front of Washington School, 400 S. Main, Newton

At our annual meeting, we will vote for new board members, approve the budget, review the League of Women Voters of Wichita Metro‘s local study, and plan our advocacy for the upcoming year. Doors open at 5:45 pm Only members may vote.

It is organized and hosted by Prairie Quilt Guild of Wichita The event will be held at the Exhibition Hall in Century II, 225 W. Douglas, Wichita 67202. Join us as we help celebrate Wichita Pride‘s 26th anniversary at the Pride Festival Expo. The theme this year is "Survive & Thrive!‘ We will be indoors at the Century II Exhibition Hall along with a variety of vendors and service providers, promoting voter registration, voter education, and getting out the vote. Historically, this has been a fun crowd and, this year more than ever, it is a population whose voice needs to be heard. We will work three shifts, beginning with set-up at 10:30 and going till tear-down around 4:30. You‘ll want to take some time before and/or after your shift to have a look around and be part of the fun! Paid parking may be at a premium, especially for the later shifts, but on-street parking is available in the area, Century II is located at 225 W. Douglas Ave., Wichita, KS 67202.
